FAQ

Lesson

Ski resorts in Korea do not have a special age regulation for child ski/snowboard. Children of 3 years or older who’s willing and potty-trained can learn to ski or snowboard! The instructors will be right by the child to teach and ensure safety. Ski/Snowboard lessons are available for all levels of skiers (Beginners/Intermediate/Expert)

Don’t worry, 95% of our customers are absolute beginners from tropical countries. If you are generally good with sports, you will get the hang of it in one day. You will be able to ski down the beginner slope without challenge yourself, you may even try higher slopes. On the other hand, if you are not so good with sports, your determination might be undermined after falling too many times and getting sore. Don’t worry too much though. Since this is a small group private lesson, the instructor will help you advance as long as you don’t give up. In general, children learn much faster. Many families saw fast progress with their children and continued the lesson on 2nd or 3rd day of their stay. This way, you can master different techniques and get ready to ski/snowboard safely on your own at any most slopes.

The ski resort is open all year round, however, ski slopes will only open when the weather is cold enough for snow to not melt. As only the heavens know when it will get so cold, we just need to wait for the ski resort to decide. Often, the opening date is decided less than one week prior.
Same goes for ski slope closing date. You can never expect how warm it will get, so ski resort decides on the closing date when the snow melts too much.

Definitely go during the weekdays. Generally during night time, there are much less people, so it is easier to learn. As Vivaldi Park is one of top 3 most popular ski resorts in Korea, there will be a lot of people during the weekends and any day on December. December 17th – January 8th is expected to be very busy.

Without the lift, there is no point in taking the lesson. There is no bunny slope for you to walk up so everyone must purchase lift ticket in order to take the lesson. No problem for children as well. This is a private lesson so the instructor will take care of everyone. It won’t be dangerous at all, don’t worry!

The ski team manager will meet your group first before the lesson to get you ready for the lesson. Then you will meet the instructor to minimize lost time.

Ski/Snowboard lessons are available for all levels of skiers (Beginners/Intermediate/Expert) Most of our customers are absolute beginners (never have even seen snow) so don’t worry!

No, two sports require completely different teaching. As one group will have one instructor, it’s very inefficient to learn snowboard from an instructor wearing ski equipment. Please book one group each for ski and snowboard separately.
